Athance ("Athance", "we", "our", "us") is a product of Kiventra Technology & Media, a Bengaluru-based consulting and creative business (MSME Registered). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the Athance mobile application and the website at athance.kiventra.com.
Our commitment in plain language: We collect only what we need to make Athance work for you. We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with advertisers. Your performance data is yours.
By downloading and using Athance, you agree to the terms described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.
02 Data We Collect
We collect data in three ways: information you provide directly, data generated by your use of the app, and data collected automatically.

Automatically Collected Data
- Device type, OS version, and app version
- Crash logs and error reports
- Feature usage analytics (anonymised aggregates)
- IP address and approximate location (city-level)
03 How We Use Your Data
- To create and manage your Athance account and authenticate your identity
- To deliver core app features: session logging, scoring, leaderboards, and coaching tools
- To generate AI-powered performance insights and coaching feedback
- To calculate and display leaderboard rankings at club, state, and national scope
- To personalise FemmeSync training recommendations
- To process subscription payments via Google Play Billing
- To respond to support requests and communications
- To send transactional notifications (session summaries, competition alerts)
- To improve app features through anonymised usage analytics
- To comply with applicable Indian laws and regulations
We do not use your data for: advertising targeting, profiling for sale to third parties, or any purpose unrelated to delivering the Athance platform to you.
04 Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
Within the Platform
- Coaches: Linked coaches can view your session data and scores — but not your FemmeSync data unless you explicitly share it.
- Associations: Affiliated association administrators can see your competition results and ranking.
- Leaderboards: Your name and scores appear on leaderboards per your privacy settings.

Legal Requirements
We may disclose data if required by Indian law, court order, or to protect the safety of users or the public.
05 Storage & Security
- All data in transit encrypted using TLS/HTTPS
- Passwords hashed using bcrypt — never stored in plain text
- Access to production databases restricted to authorised Kiventra personnel
- Role-based access controls across athlete, coach, and association tiers
We will notify affected users within 72 hours of a confirmed data breach as required by applicable law.
06 Data Retention
- Account data: Retained for life of account plus 30 days after deletion
- Session and performance data: Retained while account is active; exportable on request
- FemmeSync data: Deleted immediately upon your request
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years per Indian financial requirements
- Support communications: Retained for 2 years
To delete your account, email hello@kiventra.com or use Delete Account in app settings.
07 Health & Sensitive Data
FemmeSync data is treated as sensitive health information. It is never shared with coaches, associations, or any third party without your explicit, informed consent. It can be deleted at any time from within the app.
Computer vision analysis outputs are used solely to provide coaching feedback and are not shared externally or used to build profiles for sale.
08 Children's Privacy
Athance is designed for athletes aged 13 and above. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 and will delete such data promptly if discovered.
09 Your Rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
- Data Portability: Request your performance data in CSV/JSON format
- Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time
- Grievance Redressal: Lodge a complaint; we will respond within 30 days
10 Cookies & Tracking
The Athance mobile app does not use browser cookies. The website uses only:
- Session cookies: To maintain login state on the web portal
- Analytics cookies: Anonymised, aggregate usage data only
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site trackers.
11 Third-Party Links & Services
Athance may link to external services such as the Google Play Store. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites. Google Play Billing is governed by Google's own privacy policy — we receive only transaction confirmation data, not full payment card details.
12 Changes to This Policy
When we make material changes, we will notify you via in-app notification and email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Athance after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
